Frequently asked questions
Can Beginners Join?
Yes all junior age and ability are welcome to join.
What equipment is needed?
Active wear and a Basketball
How long is training and when?
1 hour training- allocated 1 night during the week- team dependant
When are games played?
Saturday at various KBA venues, time depends on age group, younger age groups are earlier in the morning while older are in the afternoon.
Can I request to play with friends?
Yes! You’re welcome to request to be placed with friends when you register. Please note that while we do our best to accommodate these requests, we can’t always guarantee placement in the same team due to team balance and age-group requirements.
What happens if I miss a game?
Teams are generally made up of 8 players, with only 5 on the court at any one time, so there’s always a rotating bench. Teams can manage the occasional missed game, but commitment to your team is important. If you know you’ll be absent, please let your team know in advance so they can plan accordingly.
Can I choose my Jersey number?
Unfortunately, jersey number selection isn’t available. Jerseys are ordered well in advance and held in stock, and with number clashes across the squad we’re unable to accommodate individual number preferences. Numbers are assigned by the club.
